About Lemon Drop Bake Shop
Founder Jennie Novakovic
A cookies and creme pop might hit the spot. Or maybe limoncello lemon is more to your liking. Whatever your desire, Lemon Drop Bake Shop delivers carefully crafted customized cakes and delicious treats that are made from scratch every time.
Founder Jennie Novakovic started the business in 2007 and it has steadily expanded, offering a menu of treats for any event, including weddings, birthdays, corporate meetings, cocktail parties and any other milestone occasions.
Aside from creating custom cakes, the team at Lemon Drop enjoys creating other artistic, unique, hand-crafted items (see eye candy) of oozing deliciousness.
Inspired by her grandmother’s baking and her great grandfather’s bakery, Jennie grew up with every room in their house smelling of freshly baked cakes and cookies. The bakery itself is still thriving in a small Southern Illinois town. It inspired Jennie, a practicing nurse, to leave her first career and continue the family tradition just North of Chicago. Lemon Drop Bake Shop is officially named after her grandmother’s favorite candy.
